Peacemaking in Israel and Palestine

The President of the Methodist Conference, the Revd Ruth Gee, visited Israel and Palestine in December 2013. She travelled with a group of Methodists and representatives from the Jewish communities in Britain, as well as a representative from Churches Together in Britain and Ireland. The group met with people from both Palestine and Israel, and then reflected on their conversations and experiences. In this special edition podcast, Karen Burke talks to the Revd Ruth Gee about her trip and explores ideas of peacemaking in the Holy Land.

Eve Parker finds out more about Methodist Women in Britain and George Luke learns how Dieudonné Nahimana's experience as a street child is informing his work with street children today.

Bangladesh: The Real Cost of Clothing

In this edition, Eve Parker will be interviewing Steve Pearce, Partnership Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific. Steve will be talking about the social realities for garment workers in Bangladesh, and describing the ways in which the Church of Bangladesh has worked hard in helping the victims of the Savar Tragedy in Dhaka. Steve will also be discussing the upcoming launch event that takes place on September 5th organised by the UK Church group for Bangladesh.
